Cultures in Dialogue Armenia – Kulture Dialog Armenien – Foundation was founded on June 15th of the year 2012 by the art-historian Sona Harutyunyan in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital. Since than, the Non Governmental Organization KDA has been working with the intention of promoting cultural as well as artistic exchange by giving the opportunity of a well-established dialogue between Armenian artists, international artists and art lovers around the world. The KDA’s objective is to connect those artists to the art market and art institutions and currently KDA has the intention to get registered in Germany in order to provide a supplementary branch in Western Europe.

OUR MISSION:

Integrate Armenian contemporary art into global trends and represent worldwide known artists in Armenia, by publicizing and popularizing Armenian art and culture as well as strengthening links between the artists in Armenia and worldwide artists. We feel it is important to ensure the presence of non-Armenian contemporary artists in Armenia and to exhibit works of prominent international artists and thus make them accessible to art lovers in Armenia and consequently open an additional market to those artists in Armenia.

POLICY PRIORITYS:
− to promote the popular recognition of Armenian artists in their home country but
above all outside of Armenia.
− to encourage the integration of Armenian art and artists into the arena of
international art and thus help them to find their place on the international art
market.
STRATEGIC DIRECTION:
− to assist young artists and promote their creative endeavors.
− to support the participation of young artists in international projects and exhibitions
− to use all professional platforms offered by structures and institutions currently
operating in the field of international and Armenian contemporary art in order
to enable experience exchanges with non-Armenian artists and to promote the
recognition of young Armenian artists.

The KDA also places importance on developing the professions of art managers and
contemporary art curators in the educational field and the creation of corresponding
platforms for the activities of said professionals.
